On the morning of June 29, SESE held the
12th seminar for young teachers online. Liu Gang, the recipient of the National
Science Foundation for Outstanding Young Scholars and the researcher of the
Research Center for Eco-Environment, Chinese Academy of Sciences, was invited
to deliver a keynote report.
Liu introduced the severe challenges of water quality and quantity in the world, pointed out the passivity and uncertainty of crisis response due to the lag of technological development, and proposed that urban water systems should transform from security to cleaner and green technology and model. He discussed how the nature-based green water process can better secure future water systems and shared ideas on building future-proof urban water systems.
